  Running For The Bay Marathon
The “Running for the Bay!” Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Walk-A-Thon (all with wheelchair divisions) are races held in beautiful Apalachicola, Florida. The races are designed to bring attention to The Apalachicola Bay area, one of the most beautiful and important estuaries in America; create an avenue for charity fund raising and to promote health and fitness.

The Full Marathon and Half Marathon start in Apalachicola and head over the beautiful Apalachicola Bay to Eastpoint and St. George Island. The 10K and 5K also enjoy the local beauties of Apalachicola and the Apalachicola Bay.

The Historic Apalachicola Christmas Celebration will light up Apalachicola from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The streets of downtown Apalachicola will be lined with luminaries and filled with holiday spirit. Merchants will be open late and the sounds of carolers will echo through the streets, filling the evening with the Christmas spirit. Santa will arrive on a shrimp boat at 4:00 p.m. at the City Dock on Water Street. Santa will hear children’s Christmas wishes and carolers will sing.
